In an attempt to keep these crafts alive, Rias is a bridge between the craftsmen's skills and modern designs. They aim to innovate and create new and striking outfits, using old techniques and modern design skills to fit mainstream fashion. Everything from the fibers used, to the end fabric is handmade and hence void of any machine work. The handspun khadi and hand block printing employs a large number of people in various villages of West Bengal and Rajasthan, which in turn ensures a better standard of living for those involved.
