Kezia Shift Dress
The essential festive shift dress in a luxe silk mashru fabric handwoven by a master craftsman. The unusual fold-over neckline detail keeps it simple and elegant. The shoulder seam and sleeve without an armscye drapes all shoulders with equal grace. The length works for all body shapes and combines ease with poise.
Mashru is a 500 year old weaving technique that uses pure silk and indigenous kala cotton yarn. The golden colour is achieved through a natural dyeing process using plant-sourced dyes. This intriguing process results in a shiny surface that resembles silk fabric from the outside, with the comfort of cotton on the inner side of the clothing.
Summer House designs and retails responsibly made clothing for mindful living. In The Summer House, the brand has made a choice to question every process and ask if we can do it better. They have made a choice to say no to the easy way of sourcing materials.
All their fabrics come from an environment that does not abuse the earth. All their clothing is made in their own production studio. While this increases their cost of operation, it allows them to have full control over workmanship.
